Wide-fit trousers made from special Dōtsume Tenjiku fabric, an extra-heavy cotton jersey weighing approximately 11.5 oz, crafted using American cotton and a traditional suspended knitting machine (Tsuriami-ki). This particular manufacturing technique results in an extremely compact and substantial fabric while maintaining a soft hand and rich texture. Working with machinery without automatic control systems requires experience and precise adjustments from artisans, leading to extremely limited productivity: only about 30 T-shirt equivalents of fabric are produced each day. This rare and sought-after raw material is characterized by exceptional quality and presence. The design is inspired by the silhouette of baseball umpire trousers, with large pleated side pockets that recall those historically used to hold spare balls. The elasticated waist is complemented by an adjustable drawstring and offers approximately 10 cm of adjustment range, ensuring comfort and a stable fit. The leg features a strong taper towards the bottom, balancing the volume and visual weight of the fabric while maintaining a clean and contemporary silhouette.
