BIG JOHN's ISHIKAWADAI RG WIDE evoke the original spirit of Japanese denim and the period when the brand started producing jeans in Japan. This model combines tradition, authentic materials, and a contemporary wide silhouette, expressing BIG JOHN's strong connection to the history of Made in Japan denim. The fabric is a 13 oz denim made from organic African cotton, with yarn produced on a historic Ishikawadai machine. The particular spinning technique creates a deliberately uneven and textured surface, with a rustic and rich character that cannot be replicated by modern, uniform spinning systems. With wear, the denim progressively develops natural whiskers, fading, and abrasions, building a unique and personal patina over time. As a tribute to the first jeans produced by BIG JOHN in Japan, the model features a non-selvedge construction. This choice doesn't simply aim for a vintage aesthetic, but seeks to recreate the authentic spirit of the early days of Japanese denim production. The deep indigo color is enhanced by orange stitching, original buttons, a leather patch, and classic graphic details—elements that recall the brand's history and identity. The WIDE FIT silhouette offers generous volume from the waist to the hips and through the thighs, continuing to the hem with a wide and substantially straight line.
