The Big Waffle Mid Neck is the revamped version of one of the brand's thermal shirts, originally developed in 2016. The design draws inspiration from classic baseball undershirts used as a protective layer against the cold, reinterpreting them with a softer, more pullover-like aesthetic. The garment is made from 100% big waffle cotton, a fabric characterized by a three-dimensional structure, a pleasant feeling of warmth, and high durability. Before cutting and sewing, the fabric is unrolled and allowed to rest naturally for 24 hours, allowing the fibers to recover their shape and reducing the risk of shrinkage and deformation after washing. Compared to the original model, the proportions have been updated by increasing the body width by 6 cm and the length by 2 cm, while the new pattern development offers greater freedom in the shoulder area and a more comfortable fit. The main seams are made with a flat seam technique, which reduces the thickness of the seams and limits friction on the skin, making the garment particularly comfortable even when worn directly against the body. The collar, cuffs, and hem are finished with a compact and lightweight rib knit, designed to maintain its shape and minimize stretching and shrinking during washing. An essential and versatile thermal garment, where American sportswear inspiration meets Japanese craftsmanship and material quality.
