This Coverall Jacket is inspired by the work jackets worn in the United States during the 1940s, reinterpreting the essential aesthetic of models produced during World War II. During that period, the demands of wartime production led workwear to simplify constructions and details, reducing the use of materials like iron, primarily destined for arms production. From these limitations arose a form of authentic minimalism, devoid of superfluous elements. orSlow reinterprets this philosophy through a simple and relaxed silhouette, designed for everyday use and characterized by the typical proportions of vintage coveralls. The garment is made from orSlow's original 9 oz denim, specially woven in Japan. The processing at a traditional Japanese factory allows for rich color depth and slight natural irregularities in the fabric surface, giving the jacket a unique and textural character. The essential construction combines with contemporary materials and techniques, maintaining the soul of vintage workwear. With use and subsequent washes, the denim progressively develops fading, contrasts, and a personal patina, making each garment increasingly unique over time. A timeless reinterpretation of the classic 1940s coverall, where tradition, functionality, and Japanese craftsmanship meet in an essential and authentic design.
